 Let me preface this by saying that I love cats. My cat will be turning 16 years old this year and I take good care of him, but some people don't take care of their cats.
From a mailing list I've been on concerning raptors, the issues of "animal abandonment" as well as animal abuse come up somewhat frequently. Instead of birds being inhumanely treated this time though, it was on cats. This discussion turned into a slightly warm debate on the validity of posting questionable material regarding cat abandonment, culminating in something I'd like to share with you all that has greatly amused me. Spade or neuter your animals, and if they can't be taken care of, either give them a good home or give them to someone who can put them out of their misery humanely. :)
