.05.09.10. - your... mom? I'm sorry... that cheapened all of us didn't it?

turtylLadies and gentlemen, welcome to the new digs.

The new digs.As you might have noticed, we've got a different look around here. You might ask yourself - what happened?

Well, we were outgrowing our last design. Now? We've molted, we've grown a new skin, shed our ill-fitting one, and are slithering around new and shiny.

Among the changes you may notice:

Different column types - We've expanded the types of categories available to encourage more of you to share your thoughts with us. We now have: Movies, Books, Music, Television, Rants and Raves, Travelogue, Exploration, Recipe, Politics, and Op-Ed. If you have suggestions for more, by all means, throw some suggestions out!

No more category listings - Instead of the lit page, movies page or whatnot, we now have one column search that should meet all of your column finding needs. In addition, you'll find that the listings of columns at the bottom of the front page rotates to show random columns from each general category, to remind you of columns of postings past.

Multiple avatars - Which don't a whole lot of fancy stuff, right now. We're currently working on providing the ability of choosing what avatar shows up in different places.

A link to the topic discussion in the menu - It doesn't seem like a big deal, but did you ever look for one prior to this?

Some things look funny in IE - Sorry, IE users. Microsoft refuses to conform to W3C standards. I've tried to accomodate you best I can, but things just look better in Firefox

Are we... slower? - Yes. Temporarily. Sorry. A combined computer and server admin malfunction means that we've stepped back to our old box, for now. Bear with us, please. We'll be back up and humming in no time, flat.

And more! I'm sure I've forgotten something, but poke around, you might find plenty. And certainly, as always, if something looks broken, let the inner party know, and we'll be on it like Sally Struthers on a Twinkie.
