turtylHarpoon Winter Warmer
by erik lars myers

Brewer: Harpoon Brewery, South Boston, MA
Style: Winter Ale (with spices added)

Hot diggity, this is a damn good beer. It looks, smells, and tastes, in almost every way, like a gingerbread cookie. It's just amazing.

Let me take you through the experience. Color-wise it's a nice golden amber color. When you hold it up and give it a sniff, you get nutmeg and a little bit of cinammon. When you taste it? Oh, man. It's like taking a mouthful of Christmas. The carbonation is fabulous, the mouthfeel is wonderful, the aftertaste is delicious.

If you live in the Northeast (aka anywhere they sell Harpoon) get yourself a six-pack of this and drink it. I promise you you'll enjoy it. Hell -- I don't like cinammon and I like this stuff.

I'd go on, but I don't have to. This beer will speak for itself.
